Upon signing the contract, you will be included in a group message that comprises myself (Becca), Arielle (your incredible CLC), and two doulas specifically chosen to match the needs of your growing family. This group message is directed by you, ensuring that you have the freedom to determine the level of support that feels right for you. Whether you desire minimal or extensive guidance, we are here to cater to your preferences and provide unwavering support.
We also host free meetups every third Saturday, where pregnant mamas gather from 10 am to 12 pm, and postpartum families meet from 1 pm to 3 pm. These gatherings serve two important purposes. Firstly, they allow us to be with you throughout your pregnancy, witnessing your journey firsthand. Secondly, they provide an opportunity for you to forge lasting relationships with other moms who are due around the same time as you. We believe in fostering connections and building a community that supports and uplifts each other.
Additionally, we offer educational series that commence at 30 weeks, 35 weeks, and 38 weeks of pregnancy. These sessions are designed to equip you with knowledge and empowerment, ensuring you feel informed and prepared as you approach the birth of your child.
Our greatest joy would be to love you, serve you, and witness your growth into the incredible mother you already are.

WHY HIRE A BIRTH DOULA?
A doula’s duty is to provide a continuous source of comfort, encouragement and support (both emotional and physical) during pregnancy and labor. Unlike an OB/GYN or midwife, a doula does not have medical training — she's there to serve as a soothing voice of experience, help with relaxation & massage techniques and breathing exercises, offer advice on labor positions and more. A doula also act as a mediator and an advocate that knows your birth wishes and helps you advocate with your care team, as well as translate medical terms and explain procedures.
Before your due date, our team will educate you about the process of labor and delivery, with the goal of making it less scary and more comfortable so you’re empowered to take a more active role in your birth. We can offer a handful of non-medical pain-management techniques including massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, music and mantras. We will try different combinations to find the right solution for you.
Mothers who work with a doula have a lower percentage of epidural use, and have more positive feelings about their birth.
One thing we don’t do: relegate your partner to third-wheel status. A good doula will never push a co-parent aside, and will simply enhance your coach's support — and even help him or her relax, which in turn will help you relax.
WHY HIRE A POSTPARTUM DOULA?
Our postpartum doulas walk with you during the recovery from birth and adjustment to parenthood and makes sure the parent’s, baby’s, and needs in the home are met. A postpartum doula helps provide parents with the knowledge and confidence to believe in their parenting abilities after she leaves. We can also help with emotional recovery and any emotional adjustment to motherhood/parenthood, answer any questions and provide education about newborn care, sibling adjustment, or breastfeeding issues.
When you hire us as postpartum doulas, we come into the home around 3 days postpartum. Having a set of skilled professionals can put are parents at ease.
We are there to answer midnight worries, stay awake with you while you nurse/feed your sweet baby and hold your hand when things are overwhelming. See the services page for all of what postpartum services include.
Research shows parents who receive postpartum support:
feel more secure and cared for
are more successful in adapting to new family dynamics
have greater success with breastfeeding
have greater self-confidence
have less postpartum depression
get more sleep
WHO DO WE SERVE?
Everyone.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO HIRE A BIRTH DOULA?
It is never too early to hire a doula, we love to support our moms throughout the whole pregnancy. The ideal time to hire one is 5-6 months before your estimated due date, but it is never too late in your pregnancy to consider hiring a doula.
DO I NEED A DOULA IF I REALLY LOVE MY MIDWIFE/DOCTOR?
This description of the role of the doula in reference to the rest of the medical team is from the DONA, International position paper on birth doulas:
Each person involved in the care of the laboring woman contributes to her emotional well-being. However, doctors, nurses and midwives are primarily responsible for the health and well-being of the mother and baby. Medical care providers must assess the condition of the mother and fetus, diagnose and treat complications as they arise, and focus on a safe delivery of the baby. These priorities rightly take precedence over the non-medical psychosocial needs of laboring women. The doula helps ensure that these non-medical needs are met
While enhancing communication and understanding between the woman or couple and the staff. Many doctors, midwives and nurses appreciate the extra attention given to their patients and the greater satisfaction expressed by women who were assisted by a doula.
WHAT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED BEFORE THE BABY IS BORN?
Plenty can done prior to childbirth, including: pregnancy and childbirth education, addressing questions and concerns, labor and birth options, birth plan guidance, baby registry assistance, high-risk pregnancy information, creating your birth environment, induction options, cesarean section planning, nursery staging and more.
IF I HAVE A C-SECTION, COULD I STILL GET SUPPORT FROM A BIRTH DOULA?
Yes. Even in a surgical setting, your chosen doula is there to explain what is happening, guide you though the procedure, and even create personalized birth plan. Many women find that the meditations or help getting into a good headspace offered by a doula beforehand is essential to a peaceful, gentle c-section experience. Your doula will also there during recovery to help with the first breastfeeding and bonding. There’s a possibility your doula may accompany you into the operating room, unless it is an extreme emergency requiring general anesthesia. Whether a c-section is plan A or plan Z, your doula can help validate and support this story for your baby’s birth.
HOW CAN I ENSURE THE BIRTH DOULA I HIRE WILL BE AVAILABLE THE DAY I GO INTO LABOR?
Two doulas are on call from 38-42 weeks. In an emergency, one of our back-up doulas will support you in the same professional and caring manner.
